Non-GMO and Beyond Organic: All of our meat and eggs are non-GMO or "beyond organic". Our pigs are fed a non-GMO, soy and corn free ration in addition to their wild pasture forages. Our meat birds and egg layers are fed a non-GMO ration that has corn and soy present in it. They also have access to wild forages. Our cattle are considered "beyond organic" because they do not consume feed; they consume only organic (non-sprayed/treated) grasses and forages. Although we are not a certified organic farm, we use all organic practices.
Nutrient-Dense Food: Our animals are raised outdoors on pasture where they are able to access more vitamins and minerals from nature. Pasture-raised proteins such as pork, beef, and eggs have more vitamin E, vitamin D, Beta Carotene, and collagen than meat raised indoors (or in feed lots). Pasture-raised meat also has a better omega 3 to omega 6 ratio than conventionally-raised meats. This ratio can lower risks of heart disease, cancer, and improve cognitive abilities.
Local: Our farms are located in Iredell and Yadkin county in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina. Our chickens and young pigs are currently raised near our home in Harmony (north Iredell county), while our cattle and larger pigs are raised in our pastures in Hamptonville (Yadkin county). Clean food: We raise our plants and animals with low inputs, just as God and nature intended. We never use any fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, or antibiotics on our animals or pastures. We raise simple, healthy food, on healthy soil and healthy pastures. We move our animals frequently to fresh pasture/paddocks, so that their manure is evenly distributed as a natural fertilizer over our pastures. This movement gives the grass and soil a rest for maximum regrowth, as well as keeps the animals free from disease.
No-till: We never till our garden or pastures because we have learned that this damages the valuable soil life. Tilling causes soil erosion, top soil run-off, and creates more weeds. By preserving the soil "armor" on our land, we are able to catch more rain water and keep our top soil, which means more land and grass for our plants and animals.
Animal welfare: We value and protect the well-being of all of our animals. They are given ample space on well-managed pastures, where they are able to exercise in fresh air and sunshine. Our animals are given full lives - we choose slower growing breeds which allow for flavor to develop in the meat. Our animals are able to use their natural instincts to forage for food by scratching, rooting, and grazing in the pastures.

Farm Pickup
Farm pickup is available by appointment only. Please select "farm pickup or home delivery" at checkout and leave a comment with your preferred date and time to pick up from the farm. We will contact you to arrange a time to pick up your order.
Local Meet-ups
If you would like to meet us to receive your order, we can arrange a time and place with you. Please select one of our scheduled meet-up locations at checkout. We frequently go to the Southern States feed store in Statesville, so this is a meet-up location option.

Quantities are limited to what you see. As orders are placed, the quantities go down instantly. We update the inventory as new items become available.
There is no minimum order size. You can order anything you see listed.
Naturally, our inventory is changing all the time, and our supply of certain cuts is limited by nature's design of animals. We need to market all the parts, and everything we sell has healthy and tasty applications. It's all in knowing what to do with them. We can help you with that, if you have questions.
Note that many products are priced by weight, so the exact pricing will not be known until we select the actual items that will fulfill your order. However, the shopping cart will show the approximate total cost for each item. When the order is placed, you will receive an immediate confirmation email with a copy of your order, including the approximate pricing. When your order is "finalized" you will receive another email with your actual order total as well as information about how to receive your items.
